It’s had a screen replacement, as the old screen was completely shattered. The screen on it is a refurbished screen, meaning that it’s an Apple display with a new piece of glass put on. This means that it has better color and sharpness than any third-party screen.

Sold: iPhone 6s 32gb running iOS 12.4 – $125 http://greeneapple.com/for-sale-iphone-6s-32gb-running-ios-12-4-125/ Tue, 25 Feb 2020 19:44:19 +0000 http://greeneapple.com/?p=1579 This iPhone is perfect for a daily driver for you, a phone for the kids, or anything else! It’s 32gb storage leaves plenty of room for all of your music, apps, and movies.

Currently, it’s running iOS 12.4, but it can be updated to iOS 13, which is the latest. Why would you want a phone that’s not running the latest version? Good question, but there are a few valid answers. First, newer versions tend to slow down older devices, in order for the device to be able to handle the new features. Second, in iOS 13, Apple replaced 3D Touch with Haptic Touch, which some people might not be a fan of. However, iOS 12 has the old 3D Touch, which will feel more familiar. Third, some people are interested in Jailbreaking. iOS 12 has several methods of jailbreaking: Checkra1n, unc0ver, Chimera, and RootlessJB to name a few. iOS 13 is currently only supported by Checkra1n and unc0ver.

There are some minor scratches on the corners of the housing, but these are only visual and will not be shown if it’s in a case. See the pictures for more details.

Everything works 100%, including the Home Button and Touch ID. It’s had a screen replacement, and a new battery put in. The screen on it is a refurbished screen, meaning that it’s an Apple display with a new piece of glass put on. This means that it has better color and sharpness than any third-party screen. The battery is at 100% health.

There is no iCloud account linked to this iPhone, so it’s ready for you to setup! If you’re interested in checking for yourself, the IMEI is 356136090007834.

Fixing my mistakes http://greeneapple.com/fixing-my-mistakes/ Sun, 29 Dec 2019 20:45:00 +0000 http://greeneapple.com/?p=156 A close family member asked me if I could replace the battery on their iPhone 6, as it was wearing out. I agreed, and replaced the battery with one I had lying around. He told me that after I finished the repair, it wouldn’t charge. I looked into it, and discovered that during this repair, I accidentally slipped and cut a ribbon cable that connects the charging port to the device. I happened to have a new cable laying around, so I put it in, along with a new speaker. Apparently, the new speaker didn’t work, so I had to replace that speaker as well. Finally, I to everything fixed, and his phone works as good as new!

Screen swap time! http://greeneapple.com/screen-swap-time/ Sun, 29 Dec 2019 20:22:00 +0000 http://greeneapple.com/?p=161 The iPhone 5c is one of the easiest phones to work on. No Touch ID to worry about, and no components paired to the logic board. I found a passcode-locked iPhone 5c with a cracked screen on eBay for a good deal, and decided to look in to it. Find My iPhone happened to be off, meaning that it wasn’t locked to the owner’s Apple ID, so I bought it. I had a bunch of parts for the 5c on hand, so this wasn’t going to cost me much. I got the phone, and put a new screen on it. Around this time, my iPhone 6 that I used as a main phone broke in a repair, and I haven’t been able to fix it. I used the 5c for around two weeks until I could buy a newer phone, and it worked out perfect. Let me tell you that you don’t have any idea what fear is until you’ve planned on selling a phone, then using it for a few weeks without a case or screen protector! Once I bought a new phone, I listed the 5c on Facebook for a little higher than what I figured it would sell for, but I had at least 6 people interested within an hour! I sold it that day.

I’m going to start buying and selling devices, so if you need a new phone, keep an eye out here.
